Sunbird turbo 749 in porsche 944 turbo

Hi,

Im new here, I am just starting a computer conversion for my porsche 944, because I need a system using a 3 bar map sensor, and the knock control and ebc are good bonuses as well. Im excited to get this system working, I hope you experienced people can help.

I have a few questions. First, what do the fuel and timing maps on a 749 look like? Like number of adjustment points? I know you need a special code for the 3 bar sensor.

Second, it looks like from the wiring diagrams that the sunbird only needed one cam sensor total to run ignition and fuel off of, as in there doesnt appear to be any crank signals anywhere. Is this correct? I know it runs batch injection and has a distributor for spark, so I guess this would be possible. What does the output of this sensor look like, and has anyone made a setup like this for a car that didnt have a matching one? I plan to use the sunbird ignition module and maybe coil but would like to keep the stock distributor. Even the coil if possible.

Third, does anyone local (Mass) know of a good pull a part junkyard that would likely have a sunbird turbo I buy parts from? I would rather do the work myself to make sure I get everything I need.

Thanks in advance,
Mark
