anti-theft .bin

Has anyone successfully made an 'anti-theft' .bin?
I have zero'd the cylinder size, cranking fuel and ve tables and still it starts right up! I did also zero out the injector size, but in hindsight i probably should have maxed it to shorten pw as much as possible..
I'm using $E6 '8625, but this is a generic topic really, applicable to most ecm types..

I haven't played with spark, i suppose i could retard it enough so it might not start?

Any suggestions?

I think your seeing the system operating the way GM intended. If your check engine light comes on your running in limp mode. Icould be wrong, but i think the only way to prevent it from starting is to wire a kill switch to the 12v supply side of your coil. Or use a selinoid to kill your starter motor.

lol, lil diffrent i know.. but i just did somthing similar to a friends LS1....just as a test...

set it so that the max RPM is 3200... then set the speed limiter to 25... then set the overheat temp to 180*.

so he can drive it around the parking lot... but not beat on the car. and if he drives it long enough to warm up... it cuts itself off. (overheat protection...)

what i was making was basicly a valet mode.... move it around your yard/driveway/garage... but dont drive my car!.

Take the good chip out, rotate it 180 deg and put it back in. My antitheft bin.

I've tried time and time again, I can't get my engine to start or run at all if I set the PW any lower than 60.

One constant change. done. '8746 $61.

You are better off cutting fuel rather than spark.
You will foul your plugs the first time you forget about it
(and inevitably, you will!)
I use the rev and speed limiter also and it works great. I also have the ability to use VATS and just enable it in cetain bins.
did I mention you WILL forget that its active!

If you do end up in limp mode, it will probably still run like you have seen. best you could probably do is let the motor start and limit rpm to 1100 or lower even so it seems ok but they will get nowhere. That way it will not go into limp.
Might save on additional damage from the moron who has the nerve to try to take it. He'll be so busy recranking it every 10 ft that he'll probably give up and run away.

There's an idea! My PCM has a VATS flag, but my car doesn't have VATS.. I'll try enabling that bit and see what happens!!

Might try something like the A/C has to be on, to set a run flag of some sort. Or P/N switch changing states.
