I modified my ecm houseing in order to install my Prominator.

Just woundering if anyone who has installed their Prominator has had problems with condensation.
I'll add that my TPI is in my 71 Blazer and the ECM is mounted behind the glovebox liner and the Blazer is topless.
Here's me doing some tuning.

This morning when I started the truck up it seemed fine then ran like crap.Once I tooled around for a while it was better but had a real bad off idle stumble.
Drove around a little more and shut the truck off.Went into the post office.After that all was fine once I started it up .
So does anyone think condensation (morning dew) played a part in the rough start today?

Try wrapping it in a cellophane bag/ sheet, and see if the stops the problem.
Condensation can *bother* about any thing. ie cause a marginal plug wire to act up, etc.

You might want to look into getting a 7727. It's the water proof underhood corvette version of the 7730. It might be too much of a hassle to convert the wiring harness since the plugs are completely different. You would also be left with sealing the priminator cable but that could be a simple hot glue gun fix
.
You might also try sealing the ecm with RTV along all the seams.
Here's a link to a picture of the 7727;

The case wasnt all that waterproof to begin with so if you where going to have condensation it may still have been a problem. There is a waterproof coating on the PCB to repel water and it seems to work ok. The only area that doesnt have the coating is the memcal connector since it has contacts. Id also be careful of putting things around the ecm as the case serves as the heatsink for the injector drivers. If you do wrap something around it be sure to only use one layer so the ecm can still dissipate sufficent heat.
