S_AUJP Questions...

I've been applying a few of the S_AUJP changes to my bin with great success so far, runs ALLOT better, however there are a few changes in the S_AUJP that I have questions about...

"Force BLM idle Cell CCP % Duty Cycle Threshold reduced to 0% from 23.4% in order to combat a BL Cell of 4 all the time."

Can someone explain the "BL Cell of 4 all the time" to me please? I have everything enabled because I'm in CA and I don't understand this completly.

"IAC Steps vs. MPH zeroed out."

I'm using the Super_8D_Rev_3-3-04 as my .ecu file in TunerPRO and I cant find this variable to save my life

"Knock Recovery rate table increased threefold."

Does this mean multiply the current amounts by 3X?

"Pump Shot vs. TPS which was increased by 5%."

I can't find this variable either

I have more Q's but they are spark related so I'll ask later when I know more and am ready to tackle them...

AE vs Delta TPS - Got that...

Knock Recovery Rate vs. RPM - Got that too...

Now on the BLM Cell 4 thing, I still have CCP enabled so I'm guessing I don't need to mess with this anyway, right?

Finally, I'm still a little hazy on the IAC step thing. I get how lowering the number makes the RPM drop faster. Thing is that the S_AUJP changes the "MAX IAC Steps in Drive" from 40 to 254 but this post Here it says at the bottom to set it to 50. Which is right for an automatic transmission that I have set to stay locked up in fuel cutoff deceleration mode?

Also that posts says to set the slope gain to 150% but the S_AUJP shows it to go from 192 down to 50. I'm totally confused here still...

EDIT: I went ahead and set the max steps in drive to 254 and the slope gain to 150%. I'll take it for a test drive tonight...

Ok after my test drive there is only one thing bugging me now...

When I let off the gas in traffic to stop, my idle does not come back down fast enough, this is like a 30mph or less to a stop when this happens. Bascially stop and go traffic. By the time I come to a complete stop, my idle is still at 1100 fighting against my brakes but a couple seconds later it finally goes down to normal.

Which IAC variable is causing this? I thought it was the "IAC Throttle Follower Decay Timer (Drive)" but it's set to stock @ 43.75mSec. Is it because I have my TCC set to NOT unlock during Fuel cut off deceleration mode? I like my TCC staying locked, driveability seems much better. Does it have to due with the slope gain? I decided to leave it stock @ 199.22% gain and I also tried it set to 150%, same result. Should I have lowered it more?

EDIT: I'm going to test tomorrow with the slope gain set to like 50 or 40 and set the decay timer in drive to a lower value like 35, maybe 38. I'm also going to change the IAC learn timer to 50 instead of 100 and see what happens.

Axle/Gears: 3:73 Posi, 7.5 Soon to break
Compare the settings of the V2 against the original version and see what was changed. Might give a little more insight to you problem. The text file explains the reason for the change. The change was better for me when I jumped on it from a rolling start, but the stopping was giving me troubles.
I was having a hanging idle like that but it turned out to be my mechanical idle adjustment needed a little adjustment too.
Mine would hang a little like you describe and then just stall as I approached a light. I went back to the original settings and it helped. right now IIRC I'm somewhere in between on the slope gain. Not sure on the others. Maybe I'll go for a ride

To and from work today it drove perfectly! Everything I want it to be.

Thanks for the tip, I''ll do a comparison using the v2 of S_AUJP and see what I see...

BTW, I lowered my fan 2 on off temp to within 1 degree of my fan 1 and I swear fan 2 is being controlled by my ECM, my temp was VERY constant a slightly lower than normal even on a hotter day...
