87 chip in 89?
I pulled the computer off my car because I was going to program me a chip and found out I have a rem comp, part number 16198259. I found out that is just the same as the 165 but on the chip it says its a 27c256/5dbb and the sticker has abwt 8674 on it. From wwhat I found out that is a 87 trans am chip but I have a 89 so what can of dif does the two chips have? I have problems tring to start my car when it is cold, could that be because it thinks it has a CSI? thanks for your time

Or, give him the solution publically.
Your '89 does not have a cold start injector. Your 87 bin has provisions for it. What you need to do is pull down a $6E bin and use that instead (or order the proper memcal for your car if you dont want to burn a chip). ANZA is a 305 manual bin if your car is a manual. For auto (350), you'll need to find the right bin for your car. Most guys start with ARAP (Though its quite hot).
Anyway, yes, the problem is that you don't have the right bin for your application.

the solution i had in mind was to give him a bin file to strart with. That is why i did not do it publicly. i did not want people to just try a bin to fix there car. This bin file would have fixed his problem, thats all.
