Heated O2, $8d, any changes needed to PROM?
I've installed a heated O2. Are there any parameters in the PROM tha should be changed? Maybe "Cold O2 Closed Loop Delay Timer"? "Min. Coolant Temp. For Closed Loop Fuel"? Just wondering. Replies appreciated.

I would say that you could set the closed delay loop timers to a shorter time, since a heated O2 is supposed to be up to temp within 30 secs vs. up to 2 mins for a non heated one. I wouldn't mess with the coolant temp enabler due to the O2 sensor change, I believe the coolant qualifier is to make sure you're out of the range of needing the extra startup fuel (choke).

Depending what you had for an o2 before, your VE can be completly off from the ECM's perspective..
I noticed that on the drive to the shop with bosch, and drive home with delco 3 wire; scans were VERY different..

Thanks for the reminder about that! I had forgotten that they do read differently.
How old was the Bosch when you changed it? Has it been determined that a new Bosch vs. a new Delco is significantly different, as compared to there just being a new sensor? Just curious!

Many times stated here prior by myself, Bruce and others.
"Bosch and 02 sensor should not be used in the same sentence"
Been there done that and can personally verify it, their 02's are junk stick with the delco whether running one wore or a 3 or 4 wire heated 02.

I trimmed the times back a little, and the enable temp down a little.

I know Toyota uses Denso for OEM use. Outside of that, I've nevr used the stuff. My FPR is denso.. Thats about it.

The way Denso o2's are made, it's designed to last longer (by not allowing overly rich conditions to kill the sensor). Also, signal response time is ALOT faster to the ECM compare to a bosch etc.. etc... OE replacement o2.
