eprommer6 guru's in here

Well I'm just getting started in programming my own chips, and I have bought an eprommer-6 and installed the correct software for it....For some reason, I cannot save the chip data as a .bin file?? I insert the chip in the correct way, press read, it reads successfully...then when I go to FILE - save code as, I type in what I want to save it under, but where it says, save as type - All files (*.*).....and it won't let me select anything else. So when I save it as all files, and try to open it with tunerpro, it won't read because it is not a .bin file??? If any of you guys could help me out, it would be much appreciated....I believe I have installed the software correct, but any help would be great...BTW I have read traxions HOW-TO many many times...and I understand it well enough.

change the file exstension in the name like so

Filename.whetrerpu it is currently to

filename.bin just right click on it and change it to .bin also tunerprop will read any file type if you select all files. when it asks for file name and type in the search pop up window.

Thanks for your reply Funstick, that's exactly what I needed....however I have came across another bump in the road, when I load the .bin that I want into the programmer, then burn it into a blank chip, it will not verify, it gives me this

11:27:06 AM> Verify Function Started... Wait
11:27:07 AM> **************************************************
11:27:07 AM> Device Memory DOES NOT VERIFY with Buffer Contents
11:27:07 AM> Address: 0 ][ Buffer Data: 4E ][ Device Data: FF
11:27:07 AM> Click on [ERROR] Alert to Reset the Situation

I have read through the trouble shooting website and have tried to lower the programming speed to the lowest setting with no success?

I decided to try the chip anyway ,and much to my aveal - the SES light would flash rapidly....I made sure I installed the chip correctly, both in the programmer, and in the ECM ( BTW this is an 8746 ecm using a 2732k chip )

sound like you have selected the wrong programming voltage for the 2732 you are using. start at 12v and try 21 and 25 volts. those 2732's get finiky the older they get about being reprogrammed. if you look around there are a limited supply of good 2732b chips avaiable at www.unicornelectronics.com i belive these are new as when i recieved my order of 50 about 2 yrs ago they worked great. also they program at 12v instead of the higher 21 and 25 and it doesnt seem like they burn out as much.
