Virtual Dash Board (Craig Moates Please Reply)
ok I was recently looking a at buddys Honda that is ran off of a laptop and I liked the virtual dash board. it kinda grouped everything togeather in a format that I think is easy to understand and informative, So he gave me a web address where I could download the software which i took a screen shot off and modified a little to be more towards our vechicles. there is a lot more that could be added but this is just a pic at the moment and what I was wondering is where is some where I can learn to make this pic a functional Program.
The original software is Hondata but here is the photochop of it
or a larger one Here http://www.photohost.org/gallery/dat...Dash_Board.jpg
I really like the lay out plus with a record function I think I would get more form the lay out then just lines of data like some ALDL programs.
I will probally get Flamed for the use of the word Honda but if I don't ask I will never know. And If this is just plain stupid let me know because I work 3rd shift and have been awake for about 32 hours before making this post!!!!

where do I go on the web and what software do I need to Learn to design something like this. I already have the working program from Hondata or is there a way I could change the hondata program to do what I want. I just want to learn. Not asking for it to be done for me.

you need to learn a computer language, have a complier and then write the programs source code...
in a nutshell: you write out the source code in the computer language you know, then you complie it into a program.
no you cant use that program as a starting point...
i did just shoot off a email that might help me get my lil virtual dash program going again though...

where can I get a copy of EFILive v4? And will it work with the 2 transistor interface? I can't seem to get FreeScan to work, but Craig Moates software works excellent!

Poncho-
Here you go.
http://www.efilive.com/scan.html
I have a AKM and not been able to link yet.
Cable has worked with everything else-winadl,tunerpro,datamaster)
I have not dug too deep though in my settings.
Keep us posted how it works for you.
Thanks
