7749 for timing only?
Hey guys,
I've been collecting some stuff to convert my car to EFI for a little while and I saw a post the other day that sparked an idea..
I currently have the 1227749 ECM and a re-pinned wiring harness with all the sensors.. (including a 2-bar map)
Now, I haven't even started on fuel system components yet, but I was wondering if I could wire everything up and just use the ECM to control the fan and timing.. Anyone ever do this? What would be the potential problems of not having injectors connected to the harness?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated...
Cheers,

Been done.
The ecm doesn't know if the injectors are firing or not.
Just disable what ever diagnostics you don't need, and go for it.
