Why? Knock is a bad thing. Your ecu is protecting your motor by retarding the timing.
You should either pull back some timing or run higher octane, either way your goal should be to eliminate Knock not the retard.
Just my .02$

Ok, I guess...didn't really read it all as it doesn't apply to a MAF 165 system like I am running, but I know of Glenn and I can accept that at face value. But it seems to me that's more of a "bug" in the 730 ECU, not returning total advance spark untill resetting the ECU is not intentional, I presume.
What I understood from your question was that you wanted to disable the knock sensor from actually doing what it's supposed(retard timing if knock is detected), so I responded as I did. Either way I still think your goal should be to eliminate knock!
I have a friend who recently disconnected his knock sensor thinking he'd go faster in the 1/4 mile, ended up losing 3 tenths. I assume the ECU is pulling back timing because there was no signal from the knock sensor? Who knows, but I laughed hard, because we've had this discussion before and he's been trying to get me to disconnect the knock sensor on my car, while my argument has always been, well if I don't have any knock, then my knock sensor won't tell the ECU to pull back any timing...so why should I disconnect it????
