27sf512 erasing? with PP1 (MOATES ?)

Does any one know how to erase the 27sf512 I purchased from Craig on a PP1? I was able to program the chip when I got it (when it was blank). However, now with a bin on it I cannot program over it or erase it. Am I out of luck because I have a pp1?

The PPI does not support the 27SF512. Check out this xtronics page. http://www.xtronics.com/memory/EPROM.htm I found this out the hard way as I had to upgrade to the PPII to get my 27SF512 to program. I hate to be the bearer of bad news.

I had to bite the bullet 'cause I also have a '94 pickup w/ a PCM that uses a 27512. Oh well!
