Suggestions on where to put my WB02

No jokers now

I have SLP headers w/ Y pipe. I would prefer not to remove the header to install the bung.

Anyone have experience or feedback on the following questions:

1. It is doable to install the bung into header while still in the car?
2. Should I install the bung into the Y pipe close to the header?
3. Should it go on the same side as the stock 02 sensor or on the other side?

Thanks

I welded a cut down Ford plug anti-fouler to the Y-pipe just ahead of my converter. (Help section-- 18MM thread)

It is a heated unit, therefore it can be placed about anywhere you wish, just note that the further downstream it is, the slower the response time will be.

So correct me if I'm wrong but there may be a benefit to installing the bung after the Y pipe transistions into one pipe but before the cat this way I can capture fuel information from both side of the engine. The downside per your feedback is it may decrease response time. Or does this just complicate things for tuning?

I think I may just install it as close to the collector as possible but in the Y pipe.

Where did you install yours?

I have mine behind where the cat would have been.
The delay is hardly noticeable, if you go to a rear mount then yes the delay is really noticeable.

A foot or two form one place to another is no biggy. the AFR remains the same, and given most stuff has a rather slow sample rate ain't no big deal, it's only with a R_T led display when you might see it.

The thing to do is to be sure that it tilts slightly downward so no moisture condenses in it. the little sensor runs at 1,800dF and you don't want a drop of water on it when the heater clicks on.

Mines 2-3d from horizontial and no problemo in 10K miles. Vertical makes it a no brainer.

Thanks and I am looking to run it into my 730 ECM so I can capture it on scanner for tuning and logging.

This is great stuff.
