The only way I'd sort of trust it would be if I could run it back to back with a L1H1. Short of that, I dunno what you could do. It's the same as the one pictured at the DIY-WB site?.

I wonder if someone bought 2 sensors, and returned the OS791 with the cheap sensor in the box.

I to have heard of the L2H2 as I am trying to find an L1H1 for my DIY-WB. I am in AZ and checkerauto, proauto, autozone, bap import, and pepboys are all out of stock and unable to order the Bosch sensor 13246. There is 1 NAPA in AZ that has 1 sensor, the OS791, so I think this is great news. I ask the guy to verify l1h1 on the sensor body and he reports back that it is l2h2. So I drive over to take a look at the unit. Sure enough L2H2 It looks just like the l1h1 but has 2 different colr wires and a heat sleeve around the wires. It was being sold out of the OS791 box.
350$ was the asking price but he said he would give to me for 250$ but was unable to sell it any cheaper then that as he said that was as far as the computer would take it down.
Opinions PLease!!!

You guys know I'm with a local NAPA Store. I've got the OS791 L2H2 for $220 + $10 shipping. That will save you $20. Your lucky to even have one that close to you! I don't think many of you will be able to find it at a local store. Napasales@go.com Thanks guys!

Should have parts kits too.
A more direct link is:

There is even a Digikey part number for the parts required to build the DIY-WB unit. That is cool, one part number gets you all of the parts.

I tried the DIY EFI WB link a few weeks ago. It took me to a page where you fill out a form with name, address, etc. Got what looked like an autoreply msg that said there was a several week delay. Haven't heard anything from them since.
The sensor is the L1H1.

I imagine not. Anyone who upholds to the agreement of use at DIY-WB wont sell them either. You might be able to find someone and offer up another service as a trade.

Bartering, is another matter thou.
As much as it is a neat tool, part of it's purpose is to be educational. If soldering, ain't your thing, might be time to learn, since with working with EFI it's just a matter of time before you need to be able to.

Well I own an L2H2 and am in Phoenix AZ. It will be a few weeks before I get around to building the controler. If anyone in the area has a DIY WB-O2 they can use my L2H2 for testing Vs. the L1H1.

I cant find one around here for under $299, and even $220 seems too pricey for my budget. Is it possible to build a WB with a used sensor from a junkyard?

I was at the junkyard for a spindle last week and just for grins looked at all the Hondas for a WB. No luck at the yard as all the motors in WB equiped civics had already been pulled.
I will be most impressed if you can find one for well under 200$!!!
Actually I will be impressed if you can find one at all for sale by retail outlet for less than 300$

Primo>> If you do wind up at the junkyard, but can't find a Civic with a wide band o2 connector, the Civics have other connectors under the hood that will plug into a WB o2 sensor. I found 2 near the pass side shock tower. One was missing a wire the O2 sensor needed. The other one I found in the same area had all the wires needed. They were the wrong colors, but no biggie.
Best part was, when I asked the junkyard guy how much, he just shrugged his shoulders and said "take it".
