WB O2 P/N's

As everyone has found out the WB O2 P/N OS9791 from NAPA is on National back order.
The guy at the counter was trying all the Competitors #'s for the same car (the 95 civic 1.5 3door).

He found one of these: P/N 156-4034 for $144.00 at his warehouse.

My question is dose anybody know if this will work with the DIY WB kit.
My thoughts are if it works as a direct replacement for the car it should be fine for the DIY-WB O2 kit.

ALL the actual WBs used in the DIY-WB listings are made by NTK. They are repackaged, and sold under many different brands, with different part no.s. Without looking at it there is no way to say if it's the right one. If you look around you can find pics of the right one, it's rather unmistakable. ie since they're only made by one company they look exactly alike.

The Napa part number is OS791. It is not on national backorder. I just ordered mine from www.napaonline.com for $139

I think you'll find that they will hold your order for a week then you will get a E-Mail stating that the part is on National Back order and they will cancel your order.

Apparently there's some complications regarding these sensors between Honda (the sole OEM customer) and NTK. A message at HybridZ sent me to this:

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=481895

In a nutshell, they're talking about making Honda the *only* supplier for the sensor, and the price spiking up to $600.00. So, I've spent the last month building the WBO2 board, researching and building a display, and just generally sweating my butt off over a soldering iron, and now this. Jeez.

I've got all the OS791's you could want

I work for NAPA and our store ordered every OS791 we could get, hence the factory backorder. I've got all the OS791's you could want. I've been selling these on ebay for anywhere from $180 - $200 + shipping. The last shipment came in from the warehouse on Friday and due to a price increase I'm going to have to ask $200 + shipping for now. This price will go up with-in a week or two. If you guys need this Wide Band NTK unit, write me at napasales@go.com. Payment via paypal, check, or money order will get you as many as you want.

Thanks,
Barry

So you were buying them at the old price, that retailed for $130, and were selling the $130 sensors for 180-200.

Excuse me, but your posting, makes me ill.

You guys need help!

Ok guys, I bought half of what I have at the old price and half of what I have at over $200! Yea, that's why I'm selling them at $180 to $200. And the reason I orderd them was not to get all that I could so no one else would have one, the reason is that I have a guy here in SC that was making the Air/Fuel Monitors and need these. Well, when we couldn't get them fast enough he went another direction. Then we not only got the original 25 we ordered but we got another 20 that were on back-order. So we were stuck with 45 and now we're just trying to sell them instead of sending them back and taking a big hit on re-stocking fees. If you guys have a problem we that, you have no sense of business. Get over it. If you need one I'll be happy to sell you one at a fair price considering what you'll have to pay if you go to your local auto parts store. If not, just keeping reading post and keep your mouth closed on subjects that you don't fully understand.

Will the ones you sell still have the warranty?

Warranty

Any NAPA Part carries a nationwide warranty. This warranty most likely will only be for an exchange though due to the fact that your buying them out of state. Each NAPA Auto Parts store are different but I could almost promise you that if your part is bad you will be able to get it made good with a replacement. If not at your local store I can replace it, but selling it at this price I will not be able to pay the shipping. Basically, if you get a bad OS791 and send it back to me I will do everything I can to help you out.

Still sounds like you got 25 at the old price and were selling them for 50% over sug retail.

If your being so fair and honest what is cost on them?. LOL

Cost

Cost on the ones I can buy now are over $220. So what should I have done...offered the first 20 I had at $130 until they ran out and then the next 25 at $250, $260, $270??? or take and average price and try to help a lot of people out seeing as how there's a big demand for these. Yea, I could have sold the first few for $130 or so but what if you were the guy that got #21 for $270? It makes a lot more sense to try to sell a lot of these at a fair price than to sell a few real cheap and then TRY to sell the others at an outreageous price.

So from what you are saying is that you only want to break even right? That is cool if you have over 200$ into some of the sensors. Is 190$ the shipped price, that is the first price I heard you sold them on Ebay for to one of the memebers of this board.

Please let us know a concrete price shipped.

Thanks

Break even, the company might not go for that

The price as of now is $200 + $10 S&H.

From what I've found so far that is a very fair price, now what pisses me off tho is the fact that there's no reason for this to happen, from all that i've read it's honda that's causing this. Just another reason to just say no to ****.

I'm trying to be fair with my prices. I have no idea what Honda is charging but I've heard its over $500. I'm just trying to provide guys that need these N1L1's with a great product at a fair price. Honestly, I'm interested in moving every one I have, not in making as much as I can on a few. Thanks guys! E-mail me at napasales@go.com for yours!

I think since Honda and NTK have found or thing they've found an easy market, now would be the time just to boycott buying any, and let them sit on their inventory for a few months. After all if they want to play that game, the rules are supply and demand.

If they do raise their prices to $500 as rumored, the demand will drop significantly. I just can't wait that long for the price to come down, I have my WB board and parts and if I have to over pay $50-60 for a sensor so be it, rather than wait 6 months. Even I have to wait 4 months, it pretty much puts me not be able to tune my cars with one until next april or may.
