How do I get Moates to open automaticly w/ boot disk?
Below is a copy of my autoexec.bat file on the dos bootdisk. If I simply ad a line that says A:\ECM852\ECM852.EXE or
C:\ECM852\ECM852.EXE it will not open the scanning software. The scanning software is copied onto the bootdisk floppy as A:\ECM852\ If someone could tell me how to edit this autoexec.bat file I'd appreciate it!

Its been a long long time since I've messed around with autoexec files. Maybe you've got to run through and change the directory first and thenrun the exe file?

Okay, thanks I'll give that a try!
I'll try this also...
A:
cd\ECM852
ECM852
I'm not sure if that CD "A:" \ECM852 needs to be there or how it needs to be written... It's been forever since I mess with any of this also! I sure am glad this keyboardless 486 laptop can be of some use finally!

the other thing you "could" do is put 'a:\ecm852' in you path, then for the last line have 'ecm852'
so it would look like
PATH C:\DOS_6_22;C:\UTILS;C:\WINDOWS;A:\ECM852
...
ecm852
so it would look like
PATH C:\DOS_6_22;C:\UTILS;C:\WINDOWS;A:\ECM852
...
ecm852

I FINALLY got it to work!!!...had to get a new disk
Now for the next problem. I need the interface to be fully controlable by mouse since I don't have a keyboard on this old thing. (An external keyboard wont work either)
If you enter screen 1 for instance, you must escape or page down using the keyboard. No options are available for the mouse to click. I dont think this is going to be possible unless Craig Moates himself feels the need to make it happen.
It would be nice to grab one of those trackballs and use it for complete control over the software. I would just detach the screen and remotely mount it. ahhh... :lala:
