I'm still awaiting the delivery of my ADL Cable and Pocket programmer. In the mean time I have a few Newbie questions.

1. The first tab in WinBin, Flags what do these stand for? i.e. b7 see below.

VATS & Tranny Flags

VATS ?I think enables/disables VATS

Yeah, I have the same questions too!! I'm sure that if I knew the source code I would be able to figure it out... but I'm not an EE by any means.

Also the Man-T check box doesn't necesarilly have anything to do with the transmission. I can change that flag in either winbin or GMEPRO and one program doesn't agree with the other! Go figure.

I know this may be alot to answer, but even a little bit of light on the topic will be greatly appreciated.

By the way this is for a '165 computer with 6Ev009.ecu file.

I need to know the same thing. I'm looking to change the fan operating mode from normally on to normally off on my 87 305TPI so I can upgrade from the 32B code to the 6$ code.

Help please!

To make the fan switch normaly open check the N/O box under A/C pressure switch specification byte.
