.BIn for SD car

Hey everyone. I have my programmer II, cable, tunercats, craig moates software already , and a few flash chips coming this week. I have a stock 1991 Z28 memcal, but did not want to have to take it apart and do not have a spare aftermarket chip to make an adapter so my questions is where could I find the stock .BIN for a 350 SD auto car and burn my first chip. Oh yea, my old chip(1986 TPI) is not compatible with SD setups correct, so 86-89 chips can not be used in a SD car, but a SD chip can be used in a MAF car if the .bin is put into the last 16 megs or doubled when burnt on the chip, correct

Thanks

Chris(maybe smart enough to figure this stuff out)

I'd buy the latest memcal from GM for my application, then run it in the car, to make sure it's OK, then put it in the glove box.

Then do whatever to the old one.

There are more differences then just prom size going from MAF to SD. The MAF uses a remote ESC module and the SD memcal has it on the memcal, etc..

The Sd chip is the newest one. Got it a couple weeks ago, that is why I do not want to take it apart and I need a .bin to modify for the flashchips and adpater am getting from Craig Moates

Thank You

Chris

I run an AUJP image on my 350 SD Auto which I got from the diy-efi ftp site. My spare memcal is also an AUJP, and I keep it in the console just in case.

Having his stock memcal in his glovebox won't do him much good since it has VATS in it and his car is a pre-VATS vehicle, stock memcal won't allow his car to start.
Just my observation.

Chris..

Just take your SD bin now..and take the image from that... basically read it.. and get yourself another GM carrier like I told ya a couple of days ago.... and use that for you SD bin for your car.

He can read the chip without removing the prom from the memcal, just need to get long pins to go into the prom area of the memcal and insert that into the programmer to read it.
Then you save the file, mod the file, burn it to a new prom, use the Craig Moates Adaptor and you are good to go.

Or just d/load the AUJP bin from the DIY site and burn that.
Just get the Craig Moates adaptor to make it a plug and play affair.
