Anyone make a piggy back system silmilar to the Ford sys?

Ive seen a piggy back system for the ford ecm that controls the wide open setting that are tuneable. Does anyone make a piggyback system for the TPI system?

It seems that type of tuning is mostly in australia.Check out some aussie holden sites. The main unit I know of is made down under. But the company only sells to shops.

I just ran across this thread while doing a search.
I'm a little late replying in more ways than one but here it is anyway, might be useful somehow.

EFI Systems, who makes the PMS (programable management system) that is so popular for Mustangs, used to make the same setup for GM applications, but quit making it do to lack of interest by consumers. I think they should have advertised it more to the GM crowd, as most GM people I have come across never heard of it, while most ford guys have.
Anyway you might find a used one somewhere.
It is a piggyback system that allows for air/fuel and spark tuning from idle to WOT based on adding to or subtracting from the stock ECMs outputs based on load, throttle poistion and RPM, and can be used with a 2 or 3 bar map sensor to add or subtract fuel and timing based on boost. It also has a "learning" boost/wastegate controler for turbo apps. It also can add or subtract fuel and or timing when 12v is applied to an input wire for altering fuel and timing when nitrous solenoids are energized, or any other reason you may wish. It has two outputs tunable for RPM and throttle position to switch up to two devises on or off, like water injection or nitrous solenoids, whatever. It allows for tuning torque convertor lock up, "pump shot", and deccel enleanment.
It comes with a small plug in serial interface to make changes and it has an LCD screen that displays real time data, like injector pulse width and duty cycle, O2 volts, etc. but can also be used with a laptop for even finer tuning and stand alone fuel control, and can be used with their datalogging software.

Too bad they quit making them for GM apps, a bunch of the Ford and import guys love 'em.
but like I said, if you're interested you might find a second hand one somewhere.

There is no need for that on a TPI.
For a couple hundre bucks you can reprogram darn near any aspect of the ecm. If you want at an adjustable WOT, then get one of Graig Moates Chip Swithers (soon to be available, I beleive), and generate a few different chips for WOT tuning.

Accel/Lingenfelter used to make a piggy back ECM that converted the MAF cars to speed density and took control at WOT only. It used the CALMAP software for laptop programing. I got it since it was slightly (at the time) more expensive then a new MAF sensor.
Grumpy, as always, is correct. The software was primative and programming the stock ECM is infinately more satisfying.
