Help with Ractronix Pump issues
This is a very weird issue. Went to prime the fuel system to check for leaks. Holley was showing no psi on the rails. I pulled the fitting to see if it was even wet. Nothing. This is on completely new lines and system. Traced it all the way back to tank. So I pulled the line before the filter right out of the tank and tried turning on the pump. It runs but no fuel. I then put a siphon on the line and siphoned fuel I assume right through the body of the pump. Then tried priming it again. Nothing. 5 gallons of fuel in tank on a fairly new pump. At a loss here. I even tried to extend the prime from 5 sec to 10. Pump just runs like normal but no pressure or fuel.Nothing. Before I pull the tank I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this at all. Thanks

You don't mention details on what you actually have, but it is possible the pump is connected reverse polarity

I have a stocked setup with a rxp340m. Goes in the tank like a stock replacement. There is no suction on the line when running.I reversed the wires and it popped the fuse.

Re: Help with Ractronix Pump issues
Just wanted to update. I called racetronix they couldn't help, they told me Jack the owner wasnt in and he would be the best to give me help. So they gave me the WS6 store number to call for help. No one answers the phone over there left a message. Decided screw it and took the tank out. Low and behold the harness I bought from Racetronix for inside the tank which includes the connection for the pump and the bulkhead out the sender... was put together incorrect. The positive and negative was swapped in the connection at the pump connector. What a bunch of BS. Repinned it and bench tested it and all is good now. Thanks for all those that responded.

I run a racetronix pump and basically a racetronix fuel system. I do remember in the instructions there was mention that SOME pump/harness configurations REQUIRED you to switch the wiring. Are you sure you didn't just overlook this? If the harness was indeed built wrong, shame on racetronix. but if your setup was one of those mentioned by them that needed to be tweaked...well.. I did mine 1.5 years ago so I don't remember the exact details. But I do remember there was some type of disclaimer. I had to do some repinning of harness/connectors but it was all spelled out in their instructions and mine has been fine since March 2018

Re: Help with Ractronix Pump issues
The WS6 store called me back. I told them what happened. They said it's very common. What happens is Racetronix sells 2 different versions of the in tank wiring. They sold me the wrong one. WS6store says this happens alot. Basically the only things different is the pump wiring is switched. Tanks back in and now it primes and works great. Thought I was looking at new pump. I put this in the tank back in 2015 when the motor was getting built and I never gave it a second thought. Learn something new every day. Hopefully last time I have to remove the tank. Have this down to a science. In and out in an hour on my back, lol.
awesome. glad you got it sorted out and that its all making sense instead of just "luckily its working". nice job. yea. its no fun dropping the tank, but after several repititions it becomes quicker. good stuff
what engine/power are you feeding with this fuel system ?
