Readings from datalog

From tunerpro

0.57 tps
145 steps iac the first time/ 107 steps on the second? i killed the car and then restarted it
0% egr
128 counts base pulse correction
500mv range 02 it will stay around the
37 knock counts ...not sure if this was before or after i reset the ecm
128 blm
o2 cross count it will start at 0 and go all the way up to about 250 before going back to 0
5.15 airflow
1.37 base pulse width jumps around a little

learn off
jumps from lean to rich
stays in open loop

datamasters

5.3 afg5 gm/sec
128 l term c counts
128 s term c counts
1 fuel trim
26-28 load var
0.57 tps
iac position starts high then went to 0
iac min jumps from 0-128
1.08ish / 1.7 inj
14.44 target afr
02 volts jumps but stays in the 500 range
0-250 o2 xcnts i believe it climbed
34.5 spark adv. started at 28.6
47.9 ia temp

It also shows that im suppose to have like 23 codes thrown. CEL was not on and when i jump a/b it show me nothing.

Both tables have shown that my gauges are way off. The temp gauge will peg out hot but tables show about 220 and the fan is kicking on and off. The tach is off by at least 500rpm's

Anyone chime in and tell me what they see...

Re: Readings from datalog

If you start datalogging when you first start the car, it will be in open loop until all conditions are met for the ECM to move into closed loop. For instance, your O2 is supposed to swing lean to rich. From a cold start your BLM's will be locked at 128 until closed loop.( The ECM will ignore O2 sensor input and the like until closed loop. MAF input is looked at though.) TPS volts are within range and set properly from what I can see. The 5.15 airflow on the first datalog is the MAF reporting to the ECM how much air is entering the engine (5.15 grams per second). The pulse width will jump that is the ECM correcting the fuel mixture. On the second datalog your AFR is at 14.44. That is a touch lean.(14.73 should be the target AFR.) The IAC movement again is the ECM correcting idle. That is normal although erratic movement should be looked at more closely. Might signify a vacuum leak. Running lean will cause excessive engine heat(and alot of knock counts as the engine is way more prone to detonation running lean) as will an excessive rich condition. This could be why your fan is kicking on and off so much. You might want to get a new coolant temp sensor. They are cheap about $8 at Autozone. Just a shot in the dark here but what kind of ALDL cable are you using? If you do not have the ECM transmitting at 8192 baud, you will get garbage readings in Tunerpro. I do not know what ECM you have, but if its a 1227165, you need to have a 10K resistor jumped across pins A and B of the ALDL connector for the data to begin flowing. Speed density ECM's (1227730) do not require the resistor.
