megasquirt?? control tcc??

I am thinking of duing the megasquirt swap and doing alot of reading and searching.

Will it control torque converter lockup? If so how from what i read it looks like you can use the fidle output to control it but it is not clear to me.

I am going to buy it unassembled with the innovative wb 02.

You can, although I used mine to control the electic fan. You an also make extra outputs in the proto area with just a few radioshack parts.

I ended up putting my lockup on a toggle switch.

You can also buy a kit to lock in fourth, or make one yourself. There are a lot of posts on how to do it for the carb conversion guys!

You can also re-assign one of the three LED outputs (say the accel led) to turn on/off based on parameters you enter in MT. Most folks will use a combination of MAP/RPM. This will work fine as long as the transmission has a 3rd and /or 4th gear pressure switch(es) that is closed when the transmission is in 3rd or 4th.

Re: megasquirt?? control tcc??

I am trying to find everything I can about it. I would like to keep all the controls to work as close to stock as I can. Right now I have an aftermarket setup running my fans not the ecm but would like ms to do it. So I could add a circuit to it to control the tcc or any spare output?

Correct.

However, the MS doesn't know what gear you are in. To get it to work correctly, you need to run it through a relay that prevents locking up in anything but fourth, and then set rpm and map conditions on the megasquirt.

I may just take the toggle switch route till I get it running good. Its nice to know that the functionality is there though. I rarly drive it OD anyway unless I get on the highway which is rare, not a DD car.
