EBL Flash
RBob,
I bought one of your systems about 10 months ago, and have a quick question.
When the battery is disconnected then reconnected, does the EBL Flash reboot under the car's original Prom, the most recent flash, or does it remain blank?
Thank you.
Garrett (red 88 Iroc-Z from South Jersey, you personally installed my EBL Flash and computer software)

Re: EBL Flash
The EBL Flash will pick up where it was last. It will use the same calibration bank along with the calibration that was in it. No need to re-flash or anything of that nature.
You can remove the ECM from the car and it will retain the calibrations in all banks along with which bank was last active.

Re: EBL Flash
First off yes I know that datalogging with EBL is quicker and contains more information. My problem is this is an old Scout with a system from a 89 Chevy Van, the distributor is IH points modified with a Ford reluctor and a Dodge pickup. I had everything running fine, but my timing was wandering so I put a new distributor (there was movement in the shaft then I had to modify it again to get it to work) and now it's back firing out the tbi.
So a long story short, I can't get ALDL info out. I would like to keep my troubleshooting on the board that has the modification information that I have done. It shows 5 cells, should be 20. WinALDL is set to a 7747, ecm I modified was a 7747 from a van (I failed to write down the vin so year is unkown).
Is the ALDL info still available?
Is there a mod in WinALDL?
Thanks

Re: EBL Flash
Un-check this option flag and flash the calibration:
Option Word 3 - Bit 7 - DglDh
The stock calibrations have the Corvette x-fire digital dash data stream enabled. With the EBL set like this a 10K is required across A&B to get the diagnostic ALDL data stream. The 10K puts the ECM into diag mode.
Without requiring the digi-dash data stream just un-set the flag for it. The EBL will then x-mit the standard diag data stream all of the time.
