flashing ses light
I need help guys. 1227747 ECM modified to use the 27SF512 chip; Moats burn 1;winaldl;tunercat; I was going to make my fourth data logging run today. I successfully read, adjusted,programmed , logged three times with good results but on the forth I get a SES flashing rapidly. I changed to another chip. same thing. I reprogrammed both chips, same thing. I changed ECM's to a my back up that had been modified for the 27SF512 chip and programmed a third new chip but got the same results. any help, suggestions etc thanks Rivers

A rapidly flashing SES light is a checksum error in the PROM. Either the PROM is bad, not burned correctly, not inserted into the socket correctly, socket is bad, or the BIN file has the wrong checksum.

I knew it had something to do with the ECM but did not know what. what are the possibilities that three chips and two ecm's go belly up at the same time? I did go back and burn a known good bin and it flashed also.then I reprogrammed a new bin and burned it and that fixed the problem what ever it was. makes no sense to me but it works as it should now. thanks
