Saving DFI 6.32 files to disk
Hi Guys-
I'm running DFI 6.32 on my engine and have been unable to save any of the changes Ive made to a disk. Im using a older laptop with windoze 98. Ive been running calmap in ms-dos mode from a diskette as I have been unable to get calmap to run from the hard drive while booted in ms-dos. This has been Ok and I have been able to edit my ECU however when I try to save my tables to a file the computer reads the files then says *Path Not Found* Any Ideas as to what may be wrong? I would really like to save my files prior to making any more major changes. Thanks!
Also I searched the site for an answer but the new engine didn't come up with anything Sorry

i think your will have to install the calmap software onto your computer before you can do that. it need to make some directorys (what you'd call folders in windows) in which to save the files too.
sorry i don't remember the comand you need to type in to install calmap. i think its something like... boot into msdos, then type A:calmap.exe. or maybe its install calmap.
someone on here prob knows for sure.

Re: Saving DFI 6.32 files to disk
I use 6.2. I have only ever been able to do complete files, through "Global".
Do everything to the disk, and from the disk. The system was designed when dual floppy disk drives were the rage. When you load files from the A: it slows things down enough for Camap. I NEVER get timeout errors from the A drive.
So, saving complete files should work. Global retrieve. Then when you make changes, do it on the saved file and you will save the underlying ECU configuration- good for thing like IDLESPARK, and rev limits.
