accel dfi gen 6
looking to replace stock ecm in 1989 l98 iroc to support new hot 383 build,will accel dfi gen 6 be able to support such a build and is the gen 6 programmable?

Yes it will support it and yes it is programable via laptop. Gen 6 is a DOS base so you would need an old laptop with 386 or 486 processor. If it's just a mild 383 and not planning to get more serious power out of it later then stock ECM will but a custom program chip will be needed to get the optimum performance.

Hi-
Just saw this. The old Calmap is so archaic, it is like cave painting to see it on your computer.
That said, I find mine works MUCH better if I run it from the floppy drive. That is, set Windows to run DOS and then put a floppy in the A drive. Running Calmap from the hard drive was too quick, even on my 1992 laptop. I always got "time out error" messages, and had to redo whatever I was transferring. NOW I run from the A drive. It runs fine.
