megasquirt on a 60* v6 with turbo
hey guys i was wondering if anyoen here would know,
can i control spark with the stock ecm controlled distributor with megasquirt?,or would i have to swap to dis if i wanted to control spark with it,
#2 will the stock tps/coolant temp sensors work with megasquirt,
#3 if i run megasquirt to only control fuel and leave the stock ecm to do the rest ,can i just piggy back into the exsiting coolant and o2 sensors,i read somewere that megasquirt shoudl have its own sensors

RBob's EBL would work well with a Turbo MPFI V6. I currently have one up and running on a 3.1 TBI.

I'm not sure what the stock distributor is on a 60* V6, but if it is some sort of HEI with no mechanical advance, the answer is: probably.
2) Yes, stock sensors will work.
3) Not sure on the piggy back. I thought it could be done, but I'm not positive.
I just got ignition control working on my MS'd 406 this weekend. MSD Probillet distributor feeds an HEI-4 module which provides tach signal to Megasquirt, and then Megasquirt fires my MSD 6AL box at appropriate time. If your distributor has some sort of VR sensor (very likely), than a similar setup should work.
