Failed Emmisions-need help understanding scantool data
Help!!
I'm in California and have a 1984 Camaro with 2.8l automatic no a/c. The car would not pass emmisions because the NOx was too high. I got the EGR to work by-passing the EGR solonoid. (the egr is a positive pressure egr.) Then the NOx passed great but the HC and CO were over limit. I got the egr and it's solenoid to work and all the other systems seem to be O.K. but again the NOx is good and the HC & CO have hit gross polluter levels.
I have an Actron CP9145 scan tool with all this wonderful data but don't have any standards to compare with. (There are no fault code.)
1) Where can I get the standard to compare this data wtih?
2) The car is non A/C but the scan tool Reads:
AC Clutch On
AC enabled yes
AC request On
Is this correct??
If anyone has any input I would appreciate it.
Thank you,
Need to get passed smog and would like to understand this scan tool.
