DFI harness adaptor or repin?!
I have an 88 Camaro harness and I just got a Accel DFI gen 6 computer. The question I have is: how do I connect this thing without spending $100+? How hard is it to repin the factory harness? Does anyone have a chart/diagram that could help? Thanks alot guys. Will

I don't think that would be a problem, I do alot of wiring work. I'm just tring to find a cheap adaptor or a pin by pin swap chart.
Thanks,

The WhiteRacing junction is what I have.. It's pretty much plug and tune.. There has been some words about some have had some problems and some not..
Now this is a Gen6 correct?

Yes, its a gen6. I haven't found a WhiteRacing harness adaptor for under $200.00 and I really don't want to spend that for one.
Thanks,

Speaking from experience, it's definetly not a pin-for-pin swap on many of your peripheral systems. I think it would be easiest to re-pin your stock harness for dfi, yes. But it's not straight forward, and it will challenge you if you want to maintain a/c request, torque converter lockup, cruise, vats etc.

I think I'm going to run a standard so I don't have to worry about the TCC lockup. I can use the stand alone cruise from an older F-body and manual A/C. I'm not worried about VATS. I guess all I need is a wiring diagram for the 88 Camaro and to convert it to MAP. I just didn't know if there was an easy/cost effective way to do it. The good thing is that the car doesn't need to be on the road any time soon, I also have to decide on what heads, cam, etc. I guess I need to post those questions elsewhere in the forum.
Thanks,
Will

Since I am converting from a DFI 6 to a 730 ecm...maybe we should talk
I have a CALMAP connector that I won't be needing as soon as the swap is done. As for the specifics, I have been using the 730 wiring diagram and the DFI 6 wiring diagram and simply repinning them. It has been a PITA, but I am confident that it will work without the $$$ for a custom harness.
Ironic that I am going back to 730 and you are running away from it
Email me privately to discuss further about the CALMAP connector.
