EMP 10 Help
Ok here goes. I am having a problem burning my chips with the emp 10 programmer. I am using XP pro and Tuner Pro. I can read the factory chip into the buffer, and program from buffer(blank 27c128 chip installed) and every thing works fine. Installed in car runs fine. Now the problem, when I read to buffer, save to disk as a .bin file, open file with Tuner Pro, change something(in this case under constants, maximum spark advance, base timing)save as .bin, open programming software, load file into buffer, install blank chip, then program, I am getting a verification error (buffer at 09 device at 8E and many more if u scroll through the list).
If any one has had this problem or knows how to fix it Please let me know.
I am glad to find theDYI_EFI community and have greatly appreciated all the info and links, it was through reading and experimenting that I have reached this point.
I plan on buying cables and an emulator if I can ever get past this roadblock.
By the way when you save in Tuner Pro it asks checksum changed save yes or no, is yes the right answer?
