Kawasaki's have ECM's too.
On the other side.. Motorcycles.. There is a highly regarded model.
1984 GPz750 Turbo. A Fuel Injected and Turbocharged 750 that goes like the clappers.
The computer has a 6801VOP processor (in almost every example seen, the cpu is made (licenced to?) Hitachi).
I've seen mentioned here, the C3 was a 6801 cpu'd ecm.
Has any ecm experts here ever looked at a Kawasaki. Very few members of the 750turbo.com forum really knows much about the inside of the black box, just how to setup it up well. No one has been able to 'crack' the software- or even extract it.
It runs fully open loop, can handle up to 24psi boost in one of two versions of the computer that only bikes outside the US got.
The other is limited to about 14psi. In standard form they ran 7psi, and good for around 120 rwhp. Modified bikes of 200hp+ are cruising about with little more than a boost increase and overbores/headwork.
Keen to know more? 5years has taught some cool tricks/facts.
Bigger tb's/turbo's/suspension. But not the computer. elusive thing.

I have a pdf for the cpu, but it's too large to post (1.4mb), it explains the memory mapping modes, and serial coms pins/format.
