Small roots blower T-Stat housing options
I wasnt sure where to post this....could have been in Power Adder section too I suppose, but I am looking for a better thermostat housing than what I have that is a low enough profile to fit under the blower snout.
I have the lowest profile one I could find a few years back, and its one of the cheapie chrome ones that use an o- ring instead of a gasket to seal. The fit is so tight under the blower snout, that if the housing is not pushed to one side while tightening the bolts down, the o- ring will not seal and it leaks....like its doing right now...and I'm sick of this piece of junk.
Only one I've found is for a Weiand 142 blower...and even Amazon wants 137 bucks for one!!! - and its an emissions type housing Weiand part #6201. Since Im running a Magnuson 122, im not entirely sure it will work and clear everything.
I suppose I could just buy the thing and try it, but maybe someone knows of a housing that is a super low profile with a long piece where the rad hose connects that will work just as well?? Ill spend the 138 bucks if need be, but Ill definately feel ripped off when I order it.

Actually, if you could bring hoses out of all 4 corners of the intake, with a T at the front ones and hoses going to a remote, ??

Looks like I’ll just buy the Weiand housing and see if it will work. I looked at Weiand 142 pics (SBC) on the web and saw where the blower snout passes over the t-stat housing on those blowers, and mine seems to pass over closely to where those do...the height may be a bit different though. Guess I’ll find out!

Yeah I'm still here, somewhat...
Does it have flat places that you could drill & tap?
Post a photo and maybe something can be figured out.
