New Radiator, with or without Transmission inlets??

Here is the deal, on my IROC I had a manual transmission, and I had to put a new radiator few months ago, so I got one that have the colling section for the transmission lines on the side(thats only one they had). After I put it in since then I noticed that it does not cool as good as the one that I had before which didn't have a cooling section for transmission lines. My question is, is it possible the reason it doesn't cool as good as the one I had before its because the transissmion cooling section takes space in the plastic side of the radiator on more coolant expense? Just a thought because I'm about to get a new radiator for my new Camaro and don't want to face the same issue.

Won't make any difference at all. Cooling happens in the tubes, not in the tanks.

Thanks for the response, I guess maybe it was just a low grade radiator...

when you have the radiator out, check position of the tranny cooler plates VS the lower hose fitting-i have seen a few where the cooler was close enough to the lower hose fitting to restrict coolant flow...

Now that you mentioned that, I think in general there is more coolant restriction flow on radiators that have transmission coolant section than radiators that doesn't for cars wiith manual transmission.
Any suggestions?? the radiator without tranny coolant section that I saw is $70 more expensive than the one that have the section.
