My Radiator EXPLODED.. Literally
Im wondering why this happened..
I brought my car to the shop to fix the speedo cable and figured
It be a good time to do a Radiator flush..
Had 1 of my "mechanics" (really consid ering a change inthat title)
He said it was done.. took it for a spin and it seemed fine..
I have a thermo radiator cap and decided to check it b4 i jumped on the fwy..
Opened the hood, looked @ the cap.. was lowering the hood and BOOM!!
Radiator blows on driver side... Idk what caused it; hope it isn't anything to severe.

Re: My Radiator EXPLODED.. Literally
Throw a new radiator in and get rid of that ***** cap and see what happens. Could have a blown head gasket that is building pressure in the cooling system, or the radiator was just 24 years old.

Re: My Radiator EXPLODED.. Literally
I've heard of exploding radiator tanks a few times on
here, seems they get brittle with age and heat and
tank "blows up" had that happen with a '95 aurora
once, new radiator was real expensive and since core was
still in good shape, just replaced the tank-job was easy
and tank kit was about $100.
