Electric fan hitting radiator? What stops it? Help!

Ok so most people have electric fans but I never see people having issues with them hitting the radiator and rubbing them till it causes a hole ...twice.... So Im on my third radiator And I'm wondering if anyone has pictures of what keeps the bottom of the fan from rubbing on the radiator. I can post a picture of mine later

There's a lower fan bracket that the frame around the fan attaches to that may be missing. It's black plastic, about 18" or so and and holds it in place. Two different ones, depends on whether you have a single or dual fan system

Single fan, inwill have to hit the junk yard or my brothers car to see if he has it. Could of saved myself some cash had I known that

It should be on just about any thirdgen you find in a junkyard. Even if its a single fan you can always drill the holes for the dual fans.

OR!!

You can yank the dual fans out of any LS1/LT1 car and retromod those to fit and have a real shroud for better cooling.

I have dual fans on my 1987 IROC and I ran into that problem today. Well short story is my fans haven't been working so I hooked them up to a toggle & they both were rubbing up against the radiator because the brackets as already mentioned.. are plastic and they were all broken. I just did a quick fix and zip tied them back a little from the bottom.
