Cooling flush with CLR

Is it possible to use this for flushing out the deposits in the cooling system. Has anyone tried this. I thought about using this. I just want to get some feed back on this topic before i try it out.

Re: Cooling flush with CLR

Just trying to save a few buck. I have CLR here at home already. So I had the idea of using it. I was just curious. Thank you.

CLR will eat all the soft metals in your cooling system.

Re: Cooling flush with CLR

What's the best way to get all the coolant passages in an older block and heads cleaned out?

Re: Cooling flush with CLR

Use a radiator flush product that doesn't use a strong acid.
