takes awhile to get heat

i just changed heater core yesday and thermostat. but why is it taking so long to get warm. and its full of antifreeze.

What temp stat did you use? You'll hardly feel no heat with a 160, very little with a 180, and "normal" heat with a 195.

with a 160 you'll get next to no heat , I would block half my radiator in my s-10 that had a 160 in it and it would get good heat.

well switched it out with a 195 same thing . what temp my fan spose to kick on at? cuz it comes on at about 130 deg.

found out im getn no vacuum to diverter valve. now what do i do?

the diverter valve shuts flow off to the heater core when you set the ac to max. no vacuum means water will always flow into the heater core.
