Need some help

Alright, I'm trying to hook up my fan so that it works as it should. It's a single fan set up. I'm pretty sure that the wire for the fan switch is a green/white stripe wire. Is the relay for the fan right next to the A/c stuff on the pass. side?

If so, what kind of plug goes on the end of the green wire? The only plug that I have that fits the fan switch is the knock sensor (or so I assume).

Could I cut the plug off the knock sensor wire (dark blue?) and splice it to the fan wire and make it work?

I forgot to mention that it was originally a TBI car, and it's now a Carb'd 383

Re: Need some help

The fan relay for your car should be on the firewall on the driver side by the brake booster. The plug that fits the switch is just like the KS one. You can get new ones from the auto parts store

Now I know that the relay is on the firewall, but all the green/white wires coming out of it (3) are cut off, I know what plug to get now too, thanks.

What do I hook the wires to? The A/c stuff has two green/white wires on it, so I'm guessing two of them go there, and one goes to the switch?

Re: Need some help

The relay has four different connections. The big red power wire is wired to the battery( actually the little junction box near it) through a fusible link. The big black with red stripe wire sends the power to the fan when the green/white wire grounds it. The green/white wire is connected with the two AC leads and the one from the fan switch all together. The skinny brown wire is hot with key on and is routed through the fuse box and a 20A fuse

Re: Need some help

I got everything hooked up and running. Thanks a bunch Henry.

A/c stuff isn't plugged in though, but it didn't work anyway
