Cooling system clean out

Hey i got an 86 trans am that has a really gummed up radiator. I bought a new radiator. I really need to clean the block out really well. Is there any suggestions other than the standard flushing of the radiator? Do you guys know of a chemical that will make it squeaky clean? The old radiator and thermostat are sacroficial at this point. As i have a new thermostat too. I just don't want any gunk in the cooling system when i put the new radiator in.

Buy a flush kit works good.

Ok this might sound a bit off the wall BUT. The Works toilet bowl cleaner eats scale and rust very well. Use at your own risk because it will open allot of corroded holes you never knew were in your freeze plugs, radiator, heater core. I used it to clean a steel line for a S-10 once so I could fix one hole and found 13 more holes so i just bought a new line for that app. It works best if you flush all the anti-freeze out with just plain water.

yep the works is my suggestion!its pretty much the same thing except higher concentrate acid.if u use the works only run it threw for a few minutes cause it can damage things such as heater core and so on.i suggest using it for only bout 5 minutes then flush and if its not to satisfactory repeat the process.i use the works and it does a good job, just b careful.
