unconnected tab on radiator? (pic inside)
A little background information, The car is a IROC-Z convertible. The previous owner put a 5.7 TPI from a corvette in it, and fans do not turn on and i am wondering if this tab, that has nothing connected to it, has to do with the fans not coming on. I have turned on the A/C and the passenger fan still didn't turn on and the relays in the car are in a different order. To remove the tab, it just pulls straight out and the tabs that hold it on broke off and i need to find another one to replace it. It is located on the driver's side of the car by the battery. It's circled in red in the Picture. Any help would be great!!

Looks like a temp or coolant level sensor to me, but i have no idea if it was stock on the vette. Its not stock on the iroc though. The fans were run by a temp switch on the side of the block.

ive had those on my radiators too. made the mistake of pulling it out once and let my coolant out 30 miles away from home.

Its never a good idea to unplug any sort of fitting from a radiator unless youre prepared to loose coolant.

Maybe, but I thought pulling plugs on radiators was obviously a bad idea....

The temp sensor that came as part of my fan control module didnt fit my block either. Roughly $5 at pep boys for a couple of brass adapter fittings and it works fine.
