cooling system troubles
I was just wondering if anyone has experienced these issues with their F body. During the warm months of the year my camaro runs too hot. The car will run at an average of 230 degrees and will go higher. I have replaced the radiator, water pump, several thermostats, CT sensor, fan switchs, electric fan motors, etc. I still haven't been able to find the cause of the problems. All of the factory equiptment is still intact, and the gauge is accurate according to my scanner. The car won't even cool down on the highway. One instance was when I was heading to the pocono mountains, on the turnpike the car was running good but the temp gauge was in the red zone, and you could smell the car getting hot. If someone could help I would appreciate it.

Re: cooling system troubles
Still have the air dam?
Have you cleaned out between the ac coil and the radiator?
You can always hardwire the fan and leave it on that will help some.
Check your timing

Re: cooling system troubles
I just restet the timing do to some runnability issues I was having, yes the car does have the air dam in place and I have cleaned between the ac condenser and the radiator. I don't know if the timing was the factor in why it was running hot, but I just reset it a few days ago because I was having idling/ stalling problems. I guess I will have to wait until the summer to see if it cures the overheating too. Thanks for your help.

Re: cooling system troubles
easy check and see if both fans are kicking on when hot.
if not u have a problem. troubleshoot why both fans are not comming on. should be a relay /fan issue.
