Re: oil smoking??

Is it coming from the top of the dipstick tube? If it is, you overfilled the engine with oil.

Re: oil smoking??

the first thing i would check is the crankcase vent system . new pcv valve , new vent hoses , if tbi filter inside air filter housing . how many miles on eng. ? has it set up for long periods of time ? i had similar problems will mine several years ago . changed valve seals , de-gunked heads ( in car ) , cleaned oil drain passages on front and rear of cylinder heads . problem solved . good luck .
