Another thread about electrical fan problems.

Allright, about 2 months ago my electric fan stopped working, of course at the worst possible time, when the car was on the dyno.

I've checked multiple things that could be wrong. I followed all the wires, since this isn't the original engine/radiator, it's not wired like stock. I followed every wire that came from the electric fan, and all the wires tested out fine with no breaks or anything. There are 2 wires from the motor and they go to a temp sensor (at least I think it is) that's in the radiator (unfortunately I broke the sensor getting the radiator out).

The other one goes to a relay. Then off of the relay there's a wire going to a fuse, I can get a picture if anyone needs one. I replaced both the relay and fuse, and still no go on the fan working.

I've pulled the fan now, and I put the 2 wires coming off the motor up to a battery. I tried both ways, and no matter what the motor won't work. So from this i'm assuming my motor on my fan is bad. Only problem is, I can't seem to find this part number anywhere, i've tried a bunch of places online and everything.

The part number for the motor itself is: #22051014 and then under that is says 106 86. The motor says Delco Products on top of it. Then the actual case that the motor/fan blades sit in is Delco part #: 22040916

Can anyone figure out where I could find these parts or at least what I could use to replace them?

-Thanks, Brandon

Re: Another thread about electrical fan problems.

They have the fan motors here last time I checked: www.napaonline.com

I ended up replacing one of my dual fan motors (it was sqeaking and vibrating) with a motor from a single fan setup. They're interchangeable as far as I know.

I didn't get any hits on that website with the Delco fan #, and when I typed in "cooling fan" all I got was complete fan assemblys.
