overheating at idel

ok my water pump just went on me i replaced it 7 hours later reaplace all the coolant waited for the radiotor to drop the coolant level in the radiator yet if i let the car sit in park or even stoped at a stop light the temp will slowly rise ive gotten it up to just above the 220 mark then i kill the igition i just changed the temp thermostat not 4 months ago no leakage and car will stay cool while driving

if it didnt overheat before, then you obviously did something wrong, so start over and re do it.

220° is NOT overheating.

Electric fan?

no belt drivin and i know its not overheating by i dont want to blow my engine so i cut the igniton at 220 it would go higher if i let it i think i might have blew my thermostat when the water pump went its simple and fairly inexpencive so i am going to try that
