heater hose routing

heater hose routing

what is the best way to route the heater hoses,from core to radiator and intake/from core to water pump and intake?

Now if that Isn't OEM looking, than i don't know what is!
I think I'm going to cut off that round, shiny device on the Diverter Valve. I think its for the heater vac, but I don't think i Really need it

OEM doesn't run so many plastic elbows with hose clamps. Seems like a dozen leaks waiting to happen as the car ages.

I ran mine from the water pump to the core, then the core to the manifold (if thats the way it flows). I know it's hard to see in the pic, but this is how I routed the hoses:

That divereted Valve was so ugly, i just wanted to get it out of site, so i tucked it under the front of the car, but as someone noted, i had to do all these crazy angles and elbows. It will help neatern up the engine bay a little, but lets hope it doesn't leak...it actually took me a long time to get those hoses routed like that. I spent around 40 bucks between the hoses, clamps, and elbows....probbaly even more than that
