is there a special trick to prying out the radiator cap?*PLEASE HELP*

*** this thing doesnt want to go without a fight, for the last half hour I have been trying to pry off the current radiator cap in favor of the new one....

I have an LO3 TBI motor, the damn cap is Godly tight, I am able to move it left and right but I cannot unscrew it off!!!!
Do I have to push down on it in and turn at the same time or what...this thing is pissing the crap out of me, I have other things I need to do today and I thought this would be a quick 5 minute replacement I dont know what the hell is taking me so long to get this thing off...please someone help

It's like the child safety locks on medicine bottles: Push down and turn. Once you push it down, you will press the caps retention tabs lower than the radiators and the cap will disengage.

On mine, it's counter clockwise. My pressure cap, though, is on a surge tank, and not on the radiator itself.

Just twist. If it doesn't go one way, twist the other.

Aren't they like half turn or something like that? Meaning you can turn either way and eventually it'll pop off since its symmetrical.

that actually might work the problem is its way too damn tightspaced to do anything....and also the arrows on the radiator cap, does that mean I have to make sure the arrows are aligned with that a/c hose???

The arrow points towards the direction of the overflow tank line (once the cap is tightened).
