Does anyone know what the stock dual fans push in amount of CFM's and what kinda power they draw?

IIRC they push right around 1000 cfm, maybe a little more...
the draw is 30 amps

this was one of the first questions i asked when i came to these boards... and one that will never get answered with any facts. (there are estimates, which are probably pretty close, but there is no known documentation from GM. im sure there is an engineer somewhere out there who could easily solve this for us)

and i believe f-crazy meant 1000 cfm each.

Well, my car is overheating in city traffic, but cools and maintains 160-170* temps when I am above 40 mph. Everything is working as normal, fans are on all the time. (AC has to be on, since I dont seem to have a wire to my computer for the cooling fans. That is getting fixed with a painless setup when I buy new fans.)

I am going to get the flexalite dual electrics. 2500 cfms at 19.8 amps. No more overheat problems. I also am going to get a transmission cooler, so the fans have to cool that too.

I think the fans might be too much for what I need them for, but at this point, its going to get 100+ in the summer here in florida, and I need this to work. Not to mention I have AC.

well if you mean each fan pulls 1000 cfm.. it takes alot to cool down these engines. i have a single 1800 CFM fan on my truck, 4.3L and its just barley enough with A\C and im only at 180 HP..

Car: 1992 Z28 and 1995 Silverado

1000?

That sucks. Mine cools at 195 degrees just fine (and thats with it running at 60 percent). Iv watched it up close here in out 85 degree weather lately. The fans come on at 195 at 60 percent speed for about 3 mins. Then it circulates again, and rev up to 100 percent. One more circulation, and the fans stay about a constant 60 percent for the remaining of the time.

1000cfm doesnt seem much, but its just perfect for my car apparently,

On my truck, though, I have flex 250 fans that flow about 5200cfm at 100 percent. Even then, it still has somewhat of a hard time keeping cool.

The stock fan setup stinks. There is no real shroud, so there is nothing to direct or channel the air. What a mess.

You'll laugh at what I did today.

I idled it for awhile. I put one of my floor fans (a industrial one, like, 300+cfms) in front of my air dam. Ran for about 45 minutes with no trouble. Turned off the fan, and it started to slowly creep up. Turn the fan back on, cooled back off. Idled it to 2000 with the fans there, and it still heated up more, (although slower) but I think that should be expected. Being that the car isnt getting any additionally air from the atmosphere and the car moving.

What does this all mean? I donno, its late and I am going to bed. I'll think about it tommorow.
