Temp Gauge/Sender 85 TPI 305
Hi guys,
I'm having a problem now with the needle on the temp gauge hanging up on the edge of the stamped steel gauge face. When I turn the key to the START position, the guage pegs momentarily and then returns to an acutual reading. Problem is, 9 out of 10 times the needle hangs up on the edge of the gauge face when it pegs out on start. Since this car is new to me, I don't know if the gauge is supposed to peg like this when the key is turned to start. Is this correct? If not, is the likely culprit the sender or the guage itself or ???
Thanks in advance.

Might sound crude, but I found a small black nail, about the size of the pins on the tach, and used just a drop of epoxy to stick her in place, After my indiglo install, I was getting this too often and it pissed me off. Looks stock and fixed the problem. Just let the epoxy setup for a couple hours before you start the car or the needle just might dislodge it. Best of luck
