question about Stewart Stage 1 pump

alright i got my stewart stage 1 pump the other day... and was under the impression it was a cast iron pump... however it felt really light so i took a magnet to it and the magnet in no way attempted to stick to the pump housing!! it did stick to the shaft and such... but not the housing. part number on the box is for the stage one, but i am lost?

Stage 1 Serpentine water pump long style should be #13123

Suppose to be cast.

I orderd the stage 2 serpentine water pump long style #23123

It's aluminum.

Looked like this.

i ordered the stage 1 PN # 13123... but the actual part that i got looks exactly like the stage 2 pump...

i wish i had a digital camera... i would snap a pic. cause it looks to me like the stage 1 pump does not have STEWART written on it in the same way as the Stage 2, and the pump i got does have it just like the Stage 2, PN 23123!!!:lala:

plus mine has the color of the Stage 2 and not the darker like the Stage 1...

the box the pump came it is labeled #13123... not #23123 though... maybe they just accidently put a stage 2 in the stage 1 box...
