Chevrolet -radiator fan turn on switch
92 Chevrolet Stepside, V8 350 5.7L.
A couple days ago my the the starter on my truck shorted out and friend up a couple wires, I repaired these wires, replaced the starter and everything was fine but noticed the temperature was running a little higher then normal, going a little past the 210 marker and for the most part staying at about 210. One of the wires that burned up looked like some sort of sensor and when I looked it up I found this article, and thats exactly what burned up on mine "http://www.kemparts.com/TechTalk/tt01.asp" but the guy at the parts store assures me that my truck does not have a Radiator Fan turn on switch.... I dont know what the heck else this thing is, its right infront of the starter, the person I bought the truck from put a performance chip in it, dont know if that has anything to do with it or not.
Thanks for any help,

its either the knock sensor or the colant fan switch...if your car was running hotter on the street in your town at idle then your fan wouldnt be turning on at all automaticlly. basuically the connector you posted is the same for the knock and the temp sensor.
