tranny fluid leaking into radiator?
noticed the other day that the fluid in the radiator is looking red. I flushed it, then after a drive, it had some red in it again. I checked the tranny fluid and it was a little low...making me think that the tranny fluid was leaking into the coolant....anybody heard of this? the radiator is only a year old.

You don't hear about it much but it does happen, usually the tranny cooler ballon tank inside the radiator gets a small rupture and leaks the fluid into the antifreeze like you describe. Sucks that it's only a year old but you know the saying-**** Happens!

They're just like everything else this ones good, no this ones better, blah, blah... I've never had a Be Cool but my buddy had a Griffen in his 406 vega and it kept it cool no problem. My uncle just bought a back halved S-10 that a guy lost intrest in and he's gonna run the Be Cool when it comes to that point.

I may be wrong here but 1) Try this : take a big clear glass, fill it with coolant, pour trany fluid in and the trany fluid should sink as it is a more heavy oil than coolant. If it does just get a sample of your engines coolant in a glass, leave it over night and than check to see if trany fluid is really in there. It should settle down and sink.

ahh I would suggest not driving your car untill you get it fixed, cause if it ends up leaking the other way then you will need a complete trans rebuild, I would still suggest doing a trans service just in case.
